For over 30 years, SRDC has reached out to the City of Los Angeles'
homeless and low-income populations, offering services and economic
opportunities to rebuild their lives

In order to fulfill our mission, SRDC operates the following housing units, programs, and facilities:

  • Norbo Hotel: a 57-unit Single-Room Occupancy hotel, offering a clean, safe environment for adults with an income of 40% of median or below
  • Marion Hotel: a 44-bed Single-Room Occupancy hotel, also offering a clean, safe environment for adults with an income of 40% of median or below
  • Martin Luther King Boulevard Apartments: 17 low-income rental units offering “independent living” for adults with children or family members
  • STRIVE: a program which works through individual counseling and offers shelter, 4 weeks structured vocational training courses, job placement, and permanent housing placement
  • LITE (Living Independently Through Employment): a job search intensive program that facilitates homeless and low-income individuals with job search and placement, transportation, and housing assistance
  • Transition Enterprises: a program which trains low-income individuals in maintenance and light construction including painting, plumbing and electrical repair, and compensates them while they learn
  • CLIC (Community Light Industrial Complex): a light industrial building housing small businesses that agree to hire a high percentage of low-income residents
  • Shelter Services
